There’s Plenty to Do

"There's nothing to do around here!" We are sure you have heard this complaint. We definitely have.

We disagree though.

Instead, we think there is no motivation to participate in the things available to do.

We have a brief on page 6 of this week's paper concerning the induction of Libby R. Francis into the Wetzel County Museum's Hall of Fame.

On that same page we have information on how West Virginia Northern Community College is marking Women's History Month. New Martinsville's WVNCC will hold the special mentioned event on March 28.

Our community calendar features a plethora of happenings each week, and we tend to highlight an event here and there, through our pages. For instance, last week our front page featured Pine Grove Public Library's special visit from a local author and illustrator. We highlighted last weekend's scheduled Ebert Brothers show as well.

And if you still find yourself bored, consider lending a helping hand to those in need.

This week, we make note of the upcoming Gabriel Project Angel Sheet Project. No matter how your sewing skills rank, there is guaranteed to be a way you can help at the event.

The possibilities are endless and too vast to mention; however, it is safe to say, there are things to do in Wetzel County. Do something!
